I was walking outside my house today with my camera, searching for something to shoot. So I came to these trees and examined the leaves, when I suddenly saw this black-dotted-miniature-dinasour-egg-like thing hanging on a single thread of web from one of the leaves. Of course I was intruiged. Any of you seen this before? Is it a cocoon of a butterfly? It's very small, smaller than a penny. Anyways, I had to take a picture of this, so I did. Full view to see the little web this egg thing is hanging from. Alritey, enjoy!
A gazillion thank yous to *saciii on her advice about the orientation of the photo (maybe it would look good if you took the photo vertically, so that it would emphasize the feeling of the little egg thing just hanging there, all fragile and stuff...). This was originally shot vertical but I cropped it, however I tried what she suggested, I totally agree, so this is the original uncropped version. So much bettah. Thank you dear.
PS: If you get this more then once, it means more then one of your pieces was in my article, seeing is there is well over 120, as well if you get this and don't see your piece, I forgot it and I am sorry for the trouble.
one word: WOW. I think the blue wash really adds to it, by the way. This is just... ooh! Obviously you don't need the words of an amateur; quite clearly good at what you do! I think this is a great shot.
I've featured you in my monthly news article.
Your feedback, favorite of the article, is very much appreciated. Hope you have a great November.

So frail a life may be hanging by a thread.
