I feel guilty submitting this, because of how 'common' pictures of cats are here on DA. But if so, portraits of people, of the scenery is just as common. I believe it doesn't matter if the subject we shoot is common, what's important is the approach and how it is done and of course the intention. But I don't think i've done anything original here, it's just a direct shot of a cat. So I didn't have time to set up the scene, if I did it'd be long gone, since this is a stray cat. This shot was a coincidence actually, I was just hanging outside the with my camera searching for things to shoot around the house, when I saw this stray kitty. So I was like wooooo. Hehe.

I had to slowly move in on it and be very careful not to startle it, and was very lucky to get this shot, and I think it turned out pretty good. Originally shot in colour, converted to black and white and added a blue filter, and cropped in Photoshop. If you're interested here's another shot of this kitty: Curious Black Cat.

I'd hold and pet this kitty if I could, but i'm allergic to them. I used to have cats, but it got me terribly sick. =[ Anyways, this is dedicated for all you cat lovers. Alritey, enjoy!
