As some of you know, during the recent London Bombing, I was there. This was shot at Edgeware Road. I have alot more shots during this tragic occurance. I'm not sure why I didn't submit this one earlier, which would've been more appropriate. Anyways, I also recategorized Effect of the London blast. It was originally under photojournalism, but then I found a specific category which I think is more suitable.

Anyways, I manage to get such a close shot because, I helped these ladies out when they were trying repeatedly to light the candle, it was windy and it kept blowing out. Was originally taking their picture, but I saw them struggling to light the candle, that I couldn't resist to help, so I shoved my way through the other spectators and photographers to help out. Anyways, that moment when I helped them to light the candles, was just priceless. Overwhelming really. An experience I will never forget.

That day seriously scared me, and I was in school... not even there. I can't imagine the distress you and everybody in central London must have been feeling..... But we're moving on.... ^^

I love the picture and it makes it twice as good with a story behind it.

Do you think if you were in a Pasar Malam in Malaysia during the early evenings could you get this kinda of atmosphere using the same camera with the same settings?

the funny little detail is the other guy taking a picture ... it shows a bit the reflex of certain people (that we are , ohh) which is to take pictures when events happen...

You're a darling miss. I can feel the warmth from this photograph and after reading your descirption I can now sense the warmth from behind the camera.

There's an unmistakable beauty when you see people helping others. It's the way the world should be.

Lovely photograph.
